about Home Squirrel

Hi there! I’m Lindsey Naylor (aka Home Squirrel), an independent artist based in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I have been making art since childhood, and doing professional graphic design since 2011.

I enjoy the tactile experience of creating, so I inject everything I design with handmade elements. From custom lettering to hand-drawn illustration, the work I make has a human, imperfect, and unique quality. This humanness can spark a connection to the viewer, whether they’re looking at a product in the grocery aisle or art on a wall. Through using the latest design technology in tandem with handmade techniques and brand strategy, I aim to create effective and beautiful works that resonate with the intended audience.

In addition to creating custom logos, packaging, murals, signage, and illustrations, I also teach lettering workshops for those curious about learning my favorite artform. I also produce Michigan-themed and nature-inspired art for my Etsy shop.

When I'm not designing or drawing, you can find me hiking in the woods with my dog Moose, re-reading Harry Potter, or telling my houseplants they’re strong and beautiful.
